Terms of Service
Last updated 5 October 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Wisekew Research and Consulting Company (“Wisekew”, “we”, “us”) for using wisekew.com and the Wisekew Academy learning portal. By creating an account, buying a course or otherwise using the service you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use it.
1. Your account
- You must give accurate information and keep your password private.
- Your account is for you alone. Do not share it or let anyone else use your access; you are responsible for what happens under your account.
- You must be 18 or older to create an account or use Wisekew. If you are younger, please do not sign up.
- Tell us straight away at info@wisekew.com if you think someone else has used your account.
2. What you get when you enrol
Enrolling in or buying a course gives you a personal, non-transferable right to use that course’s study notes, quizzes, flashcards, practice exams and final exam for your own study, for as long as your account is in good standing and the course is available. Access codes work the same way and can be redeemed once.
Some topics unlock in order as you complete the earlier ones. Exams may be timed, may limit the number of attempts, and are marked automatically.
3. Certificates, and no guarantee of exam results
A Wisekew certificate shows that you completed a Wisekew course and passed its final exam. It is issued by Wisekew, not by any professional body or examination institute. Our courses help you prepare, but we do not guarantee that you will pass any external professional exam, and we are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by the organisations that set those exams.
4. Prices and payment
- Prices are shown in US dollars. Where a payment method charges in Kenyan shillings (for example card or mobile money through Paystack) the amount is converted at the rate shown at checkout.
- Payments are processed by third-party providers under their own terms. We never see or store your card details.
- You get access once the provider confirms your payment. If you were charged and do not get access, email us with your payment reference and we will fix it.
- Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.
5. How you may use the service
You agree not to:
- copy, record, resell, share or publish course material, questions, answers or exams, except for your own personal study;
- cheat in any way, including using someone else to sit an exam, or trying to see exam questions or answers you have not been served;
- try to break, overload or gain unauthorised access to the service or other people’s accounts, or use automated tools to collect content;
- upload anything unlawful, harmful or that you do not have the right to share; or
- harass or mislead other users, instructors or our staff.
6. Content and ownership
The courses, questions, text, videos, logos and software are owned by Wisekew or the instructors and companies that license them to us, and are protected by copyright and other laws. You get only the right to use them as described in section 2. Anything you write in the service (such as chat messages) stays yours, and you allow us to use it to run the service.
7. Suspending or ending access
You can stop using Wisekew at any time and ask us to delete your account (see our Privacy Policy). We may suspend or close an account, and cancel certificates, if you break these terms or misuse the service. Where we end your access without a good reason connected to your own conduct, we will refund what you paid for the part you could not use.
8. Availability and changes
We work to keep the service running, but we cannot promise it will always be available or error-free. We may change, add or remove features and courses, and we may update these terms. When we make a significant change we will tell account holders by email, and continuing to use the service afterwards means you accept the new terms.
9. Our responsibility
The service and its content are provided “as is”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of opportunity or exam results, and our total responsibility to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before it arose. Nothing in these terms limits anything that cannot lawfully be limited, including your rights as a consumer under the law where you live.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya, except where the law where you live gives you rights that cannot be changed by agreement. If we have a dispute, please email us first so we can try to sort it out informally.
